Living Waters Church was founded in 1955 by Pastor George Dillman, who built the first church in a valley where wild animals would come to drink, inspiring the name “Living Waters Church”. Today, the church is led by Pastor Christian Kisten and his wife, Cynthia, who were appointed as senior pastors by the Full Gospel Church of God in 2015. Since their appointment, the congregation has grown steadily from around 40 members to nearly 400.

Under his leadership, the church has been re-established as a lighthouse in Durban North taking many souls through the waters of baptism and through mission programmes of all types. Interestingly, sailors use the cross at the top of the church as a literal lighthouse that guides them home.
